yeah i agree with you. it was a beautiful but uninspired movie. It was a mixture of dances with wolves and furngully. (i think he even said that himself) i think his motivation wat getting the technology right. He's a bit of a tech geek and he wanted to landmark the CGI. Which to be honest i think he prolly did. I enjoyed the film but it could so easyily have been anyones movie.
@momentlondon2 That's what I'm saying it's a wonderful film and yes Cameron is a tech geek he's always pushed his films as far as they can go depending on the technology of the time. I mean Aliens, Terminator and Abyss all still hold up well today. I just don't agree with it being called the most original film to come out in the last year.
