Yes, but Canadians have the monarchy and British military traditions -- through that, Canada has traditions older than the country itself. The Canadian Armed Forces still dress as British troops do and have the same marches and salutes. I am sorry that in recent years the Lib govts in Canada have made Canada more about "not USA" rather than focus on its Commonwealth Heritage.
