In the eastern Indian province of Bihar, hundreds of villagers have been butchered as an army of lower caste Dalits unleash their fury on their feudal rulers and as the upper castes retaliate.

In the village of Narayanpur the brutalized bodies of men, women and children lie slumped where they were slain. They were victims of the Ranvir Sena, a private upper caste army. For the Sena this is a fight to preserve the centuries old way of life they believe is their birthright. "We kill whomever we see," Sena's young fighters tell us. The local landlord is unflinching in his support. "When we kill the men, their wives and children lead more miserable lives, so it is better to relieve them of their miseries too." In this state where caste hatred infects everything, Dalit election successes may deliver more spilt blood rather than progress.

We all Hindu need to follow religion , we all need to be feel proud to born in Hindu, not feel proud by cast, because of cast is determine by god, not by us. so we need to be united. People of upper caste also do not have that much freedom in India. They can be ostracized or worse if they interact with members of the lower caste in manner considered 'inappropriate'. Even to save their lives they should not engage in a profession beneath the dignity of their caste. It is better for a Brahman to starve to death rather than work as a butcher to feed his family.

this video is a proof that vegetarianism doesn't make you any better of a human nor does it make you more sensible. India is the most segregated place on the planet. it's funny that India is called a democracy. I have seen plenty of Indian women from the so called upper cast in America having no problem sleeping around with Christians, Muslims or whoever they wish to be with. people in India don't have freedom of expression if they are from lower cast or a minority.

This is the problem with so called upper caste people. Why should u feel proud to be Hindu filled with history of violence and oppression. If you follow history carefully you will know power to rule prompted bramhins and their associates to preach things which they even do not understand. Vedas are created for ur convenience.
