I keep coming back to your stuff, your fantastic and so easy to listen to. Its the cleanist bassoon improve I have ever heard, awsome technique, yet so expressive. I had to say something- Steve
What happened to the bongo thing? That was really good too.
WOW!!!! I can't stop watching this. What effects are you using for the harmonization?? I think you might be my favorite musician ever...
Here I'm using a Digitech Studio Vocalist with a MIDI buddy pedal for switching harmonizations-that and an Adrenalinn 2 pedal (made by Roger Linn, inventor of the Linn drum)-that and a Boss Super Shifter for the high octave-and a Line6 Delay modeler pedal.
Paul Hanson lives in San Francisco.
Actually now I live in Tokyo, I play electric bassoon for
Cirque Du Soleil's ZED
All i play is regular bassoon do you have any tips?
Long tones, get your air and chops strong. Practice with a metronome. Do lots of scales and patterns in addition to playing in bands and orchestras. Always do a bit more than is required-that way you always get better.
