Yeh, he may be past his prime. But fuck me he is still far superior to many of the metal/rock vocalists popular today (eg Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Jonathon Davis of Korn - to be honest I think they are pathetic - but there also are definetely some very talented lead vocalists out there aswell, like Chester Bennington of linkin park) around today, in terms of raw talent and what his voice is still capable of, he leaves them miles behind.

gotta agree with sigma941, thought this was a joke when i recieved the link from a friend. I dont dislike Deep Purple, and the other bands Ian has been in, but neither am I a fan, and this straight out sucks in my book :P

Gillian is past his prime. its easily heard in this. The instrumentals are great, but thats it. Flag me....I don't give a shit. I'm not trolling. He flippin' sucks.

Honestly, anyone with an ear can tell the singing sucks. Everything else is fine. I honestly laugh when I hear this.
