Now there's a pianist with perfect technical capacity and who enjoys the whole thing, put his whole body into it. I am so sick of seeing technically wunderkinds and so called virtuosos who neither understand not care about the music. Man he could hit that barrel!

I inherited some '78's of his from my grandparents, recorded when he was extremely young, and still using both of his names (His first name is something unpronounceably Polish; the nickname "Lee" hadn't been adopted yet), and he' was playing Chopin and Beethoven flawlessly. Wisely, he decided shortly thereafter to entertain (never at the expense of his virtuosity, as you can see), and when criticized for this career choice, or for his rumored lifestyle, he "cried all the way to the bank."

Actually, I think a comparison to Elton John would be more apt.
