Oh, thanks. The game just arived in the post, and it prompted me to download the 1.9 update. Now all I need to know is there any way to disable the day/night cycle.

Yes, there is an option to freeze the time of day. I was worried about this too, but I read the Burnout website and it allows you to keep the time of the day.

burnout is a mint game, why does a clock come on saying stuff when you go really fast on the bike?

these are called road rules. You can own the roads online if you get the fastest time in the world.
Not to brag but I own all of the I-88 sections day and night time on bikes ;)
