How could anyone hear the solo violin s difficult parts in the days before electronic mikes.the orchestra always has several sections going at once..The violin writing is really difficult .Doublenoes and double stops and long scale passages .How could anyone hear it in 1880's.

what a shame - this concerto has has the best first movement of any Violin Concerto, and then ends with fluff.

Gidon Kremer looks like a nerd here. If I saw him like that on the streets, I would never guess that he's such an excellent violinists. Well, that's why nobody should ever judge by the looks.

oh yes he is a soloist of the highest calibre, looks a bit nerdish, but boy can he play. as 'TheLolophile' says he really knows what he doing.

also kavakos looks like a nerd but again excellent violiist not as good as kremer IMO but still superb

No, I don't think using these files is illegal, they would have to chase each youtube user if it was :P
