Amazing, I love and respect the Native American culture. Everything about just seems to bring things together. Truth be told, I'm not a Native American, just fully respect it.

I fully agree with you, Katydidscorner!! I am also of Cherokee descent and very proud of it, I believe the Lakota Sioux prayer sums it up beautifully...Mitakuye Oyasin...We Are All Related

@runningbear159 You can admire Native Americans and try to live their ways and still love the fact that you are white. I am more white than Cherokee, and I celebrate both cultures. It's not the color of skin or the ancestral blood running through your veins, it's all about your spirit and your desires and options to live the way your spirit is telling you to live. Take care of Mother Earth and teach your children to do the same, and Natives will welcome you into their hearts.

I am not Native American, but I respect and admire them. I always wanted to be the Indian when we were kids playing "cowboys & indians" because I felt I related more to them and their ways. I'm white and don't pretend to be otherwise (anymore!). I don't know if my own ancestors treated yours poorly or not. I just wish for a generation in which the hatred and mistrust can end.
