James Carter is a saxophonist's saxophonist and a musician's musician. He a once in a lifetime musician. I love Kenny Garrett he is one of the best alto players of his or any other generation. However, James Carter is in a league of his own.

both of them play out of tune. but that's not that big of a deal. and kenny garrett uses the sharp tuning in his soloing cause he wants to. it's not like he doesn't have good years
