Well while I aggree with you to a certain extent, Richter's work was made to mimic the same processes of a musical composition...so technically its only reasonable that it would be eventually adapted to that. Plus by knocking the music for that your basically knocking modernization...Do you think art galleries and shows should be kept completely silent too? The person in charge of music may not be good at their job...but they are not ignorant.
Fully agree. Personally, I must even admit that the music fits the video just wonderful. It is reduced in a fashion very similar to the video and it adds a touch of melancholy to it, which I like very much - though adimttedly, I am not surely if that is compatbile to Richter's intentions of that time.
