My favorites are

1 Band of Brothers, (mini series), group of paratroopers in the 101st airborne division,

2 Enemy at the Gates set in Stalingrad

3 Zulu, set in South Africa in the 1870's. Movie used as training reference in army tactics, principles of discipline are still valid today.

Everyone was determined in WWII. Industrial production in modern war is the winner. Stalin said something like this: 'War is won in the factories.' Typical capitalist remark. Ha ha ha!!

Unfortunately for Germany they did not realize the determination of the allies, America with its industrial might and Britain with its stubborn determination became overwhelming for Germany.
Normandy only galvanized allied determination to overcome anything that Germany could throw at us.

No, the Mulberyy was not that important to the USA because when it was destroyed we were able to land more supplies etc. directly on the beach without the damn thing. A fact. Another fact is that even many Brits thought the Mulberries to be a waste of time & effort. We didn't use Mulberries in the Pacific but landed things directly on the beach and onto smaller prefab piers. Mulberries were a waste.
