6:42 did Sam just kiss Frodo?

So are they really the homosexuals that LegendaryFrog parodied them as or is this just the strength of a friendship between Hobbits?

@PsychopathUltimate lol sam did kiss frodo at 6:45 but it was out of friendship. they've been best friends forever and sam believed frodo and knew him like a brother. nowadays we wouldnt kiss each other like they would but u have to remember that they dont live the same way we do today. they live back in time compared to us. more proof of them not being homos is sams love for rosie cotton. frodo was more concerned about family. .proof that they arent gays.

I guess people mistake the habbits of ancient cultures, wich tolkien has based lord of the rings on. On biblical times, a man could salute another one with a kiss, it was something typical and does not indicate about sexuallity. It's like saying that jesus was gay by recieving judas with a kiss

I'm Lebanese, and in many countries in the Middle East, men kissing each other as a greeting is not considered sexual in any way. Of course, those men would have to know each other (you NEVER kiss a stranger, naturally).

that's right, I was about to say that in arabic culture this is normal. I was sticking more to the idea that tolkien has primaly based his tale on both nordic, germanic and pre-russian mitholhogy in wich among them with other acient cultures like aramaic you greet a fellow person with a kiss, but not actually a kiss, just the touch of lips.

Yes. Yes it was. It's the Phial that Galadriel gave to Frodo when they left the golden wood. The statues are the watchers. They actually were pretty well described.
