Man I had the chance to catch back to back shows at the Knoxville Fair in the 80's, and Molly Hatchet has to be in my top 5 concerts of all time. At times they had as many a 4 guitars going, and you're correct on the solo, fucking amazing!
I also failed to mention that back in 83 or 84, a ticket to the fair and all shows were $3.50 to $4.00. I also saw 38 Special in 86 which was a good one, but not as good as Molly Hatchet. Hell, if you count opening bands, I've probably seen 60 to 70 bands all time. AC/DC 6 times being the best, followed by Kiss and Ted Nugent. Ted was wild as hell and killer as fuck! I'd have to put him up there with Molly Hatchet and AC/DC..
