Youre wrong. They wouldnt be laughing in this way if he was not a weeaboo but for examle a wanna-be-Russian or wanna-be-Australian or whatever... Why? Because everyone knows that when you want to become a Japanese, its because of animes and mangas - cartoons for children in their eyes (which isnt even wrong).

The Japanese people here have to understand that the judges are not laughing at the Japanese culture AT ALL !! They are OOOOONLYYYYY laughing at him... Everybody here thinks the Japanese are brilliant people. And by the way, Marianne James, whom everybody is criticizing, actually shows some knowledge, not only about the Japanese language and culture, but even the anime, when she answers that "Pegasus" is the winged-horse. And they all actually try to say nice stuff to him... ^^
