Also one thing I want to say, thai boxers mostly have very less experience of grappling& ground work they need supports from many ways such as trainnings, fighting matches(with pay),etc.
Now a day they 've started there but not so much fan, anyhow they have started.

Muaychaiya. By the way may I make clear
something, "Boran" in thai means "Ancient" and "Muay" is the name of martial art so in the ancient time thai people call the name of each muay from where they from such as muay chiangrai(from chiangrai), muay korat(from korat) and muay chaiya(from chaiya) ...etc.
So muay chaiya is one of muay boran,and now a day few of muay boran styles remain such as muaykorat,muay chaiya,and some northern styles I am not sure what the name.

Now a day most people accepted Muaythai as a great standing striking art,
for me as a thai I think the next step is how thais could go next step to MMA.
The point is in ancient time some ancient
muaythai styles have grapplings& ground techneques and still some people there in thailand trying to bring it back. I really want to see it comes true.

Muay boran or Muay chaiya

Presently, most people know the fact of all the three controversial fights of him,but losing is not a shame thing for an athlete. It was the business reason that pressed them to say "NO CONTEST"

meant to say *get lost in the clinch.

This is what happens under Thai rules with clinching. Thais, especially back then, didnt like to box. But westerners get lose in the clinch and end up like Benny here.

You are absolutely right. Rules rule it. Benny should learn how to use knee & elbow technique.Benny is kick boxer. Cross the line and entered Thai rule. See, Lethwei vs Muay Thai. Thai crossed the line & enter Lethwei's rule then they got big troubles. Coz of Benny movie I learnt 7 martial arts and found out that different styles have dirrerent rules.On the other hand Thai is bigger & taller than Benny. To enter to the match, need to see the rules and should familiar with these style & rules.
