I am fine with the inaccuracies about Henry VIII because frankly I'm not sure how many people around here want to see a fat old guy having sex with young girls/women... well, maybe a few, but they're usually not the type we consider to be normal people. x333

I never saw the show but I want to. Do they include Anne's sister, Mary?

To get to the heart of the story...you have to watch a heavily fictionalised and grossly inaccurate costume drame.

Untrue. Some liberties are taken with Henry's appearance, surely, and some other details, but so much of the script is lifted directly from historical accounts -- to the point sometimes of being word-for-word quotes. Read some Alison Weir, Antonia Fraser, or David Starkey.

Ok I'll ignore the bit where Wolsey commits suicide.

I was only messing around, I don't really want another pointless historical debate on here thanks.

@BridgePhobia absolutely at the end when anne miscarried and she shouted at henry that is historically true, when she walked in to find jane on the king's lap was true etc. it looks like a soap opera drama because that was what court was like.

What evidence is there of either of those things happening? I'm just curious, because I'd be very surprised if 1) such events would be recorded and 2) if they even happened.

tip: read alison weir on anne boleyn's fall. Both events were recorded by the imperial ambassador chapuys. I know it sounds a bit silly but anne was overly dramatic a lot of the time and the events i talked of are recorded by numerous people.

@mrchrisdavis09 why are you watching it if you feel like that?
