The Painting & Drawing Channel is dedicated to the art of learning to paint... with a host of your favourite artists. Today, renowned artist Geoff Kersey sets the scene and explains step-by-step how to simplify a building, without overworking the details. Using an array of colours, an extra large oval wash brush and four round brushes, Geoff shows you how to create a 3-D effect with the use of shadow and how to create texture whilst producing some very interesting results. With a friendly, easy approach he aims to give you the confidence to paint architecture... the results are quite spectacular!

Thank-you for your detailed video. Most of the watercolor videos I have seen don't show the mixing of the paints (very important!)- you showed it with great detail both verbal and with the camera views. Very well done! . Now I need to see if I can find the first step in your series... Thank you, sydleeful
Stunning, a beautiful work. I can only at my begginner stage dream and drool, but one day..............who knows. Thanks for the great series, I'll watch this several times again to learn and copy!
He makes it look so, so easy and like anyone could do it but I just know mine would look like a five year old going ape with the finger paints! Very relaxing to watch :D
