No...they're not trying to "recreate" anything..it seems that they're trying to capitalize (to the point of plagiarism) on the success of a band much better than they are. It goes in line with the whole Nirvana-wannabe generation. Think of how many singers ripped off Eddie Vedder..ie; Scott Stapp and about 75% of the other shitty "rock" singers that came out after he hit the scene..Jeez, Dishwalla, Hootie, etc. etc. It's not about the music it's about making a profit with someone else's soul.
