East African Safari Rally 1969-1970

how can i get hold of this dvd,would like to buy for ma old man he drove the 1970 east african safari rally car no 75 a datsun 1600 sss

It's always great to see real rally cars on the World's toughest rally. Had a great time in 1987 as a local "Mud Crew" for Toyota with dear old Henry Liddon as the boss. There seems to be some of the magic missing from the modern rally scene, or am I just getting older!

Cant thank you enough for uploading this. Its like stepping into a time warp. I remember when the East African safari rally was televised in Uganda in the late sixties, this was the theme played. Amazing to hear it again. brings back so many memories.

where did you get this film? on dvd?

My father filmed it, we lived there at the time.

This music is PERFECTION for this footage, just showing how it was REAL back then, we will NEVER see events and drivers and cars like these anymore.

The song is called Swingin Safari and was released around the same time as the this video was taken (I think) :-)
