It took three guitarists to equal one Steve Morse...hahaha...just kidding. They are all great!

Well, not quite. Albert Lee played one of the solos on that song (on the Steve Morse Album). The guy with red strat (Todd) played the solo pretty close to the way Albert played it on the record.

Actually, as pointed out in the description there are sort of 4 solos on the original record, and Albert Lee plays the first 3. In this vid they are the solos played by Todd and Steve. The only solo Steve Morse played on the record is the one Jimmy Herring played here (the 4th). Great stuff. None of the solos are exactly as on the original recording, but all have their own flavor and I'm sure Albert Lee and Steve Morse would approve. :-)

I think on the original that Albert takes 1 & 3 with Steve on 2 & 4. The phrasing & bends on the 2nd solo just sound Morse-y to me, especially the vibrato around 1:39

Thanks for the vid. Them cats did a pretty darn good job. I'd like to know on which album did Albert Lee play a solo on General Lee? I'd sure love to hear that one. Albert & Steve are fantastic guitarists!

It was on Steve's first solo album in 1984 called "The Introduction".
