PEDAL SETTINGS: AXIS A LONGBOARDS with EKIT TRIGGERS. Maxed out tension, probably 2 toerisers from Axis. Beaters far back, and all the way out. Heavy as fuck.

I'm gonna learn the swivel technique but I just started on double pedals. I just wondered should I learn normal heel up first of go straight for swivel?
learn heel up first definatly, im 14 and ive been playn drums for 12yrs and ave been playn double bass since i was 6 and playn heel up and its workd for me but im now just startnto work on swivel, thats an advanced teqneqe and i wouldnt recommend tryn it until u hav a good 3-6 yrs of double bass practice under ur belt lol good luck dudue
@krakhaid yeah but the thing with triggers is that every drummer who uses them don't need them, only people who play extremely fast need them so the sound of the bass drum can be heard, most drummers who use triggers nowadays are lazy or just don't have the stamina and they know that even if they tap the bass pedal while playing it'll still sound tight, and about lars yeah he isn't really good, he's just a part of the whole metallica hype which is why he gets so much recognition
That's what I thought too. Personally, I think lars is a rather unimpressive drummer, especially for thrash. It just sounds like he's playing basic rock beats but a bit faster. The only songs where he even uses any real speed to the double bass is on One and Dyer's Eve.
