Great amateurs don't always become geat pros. It's kind of hit or miss as to whether or not they make the transition successfully. And it seems to be independent of style. Stevenson may have become a great champion as a pro, or he may have been a total flop. We'll never know.

Is it true that Bobick's confidence was so shattered by the loss to Stevenson in the quarter finals, he lost his next fight too, and thus a chance at the bronze medal?
If this is true, who did he lose to next?

No, it wasn't true. If you lose one fight you are eliminated.

Teofilo Stevenson if He would have defected to the USA in the 70s would,IMO,have become World Heavyweight Champion. He was a great one!
