I don't know if I like the "MTV"-stuff - like you said. MTV is unappealing to me. - But yes - I dislike what I have heard from Laibachs- Volkswagner stuff. - I would prefer the real Wagern always over this.
By the way- this life is life songs seems far more MTV-like to me than Geburt einer Nation, which MTV would most likely never show.

Of course I respect your opionion. :-) I also don't like all stuff of Rammstein. I dislike their "greatest hits" Amerika, Pussy or Benzin. I like Weißes Fleisch, Heirate mich (harder) or Frühling in Paris and Amour (softer)
So what are your favorite songs from Laibach? What would your recommend to me? Maybe I haven't checked it out yet. Has Laibach for example done only one good softer or "love" song? Until now I always thought Rammstein has a "wider-ranging" repertoire - for more moods.

and the cross thing - I can't believe the Rammstein members sat together and thought - hey -lets use a similar symbol like Laibach. That would be bad but well I don't believe it. So it is most likely coincidence or both band used the same sources by searching for a symbol. And well some kind of cross is nothing it as very hard to think about if you are from Europe.

... Wirtschaft ist tot, Geburt einer Nation, Das Spiel ist aus... is like a "hit single" with video clip for MTV...so,that is why may be that you love them... is a good song..but not the best material from Laibach...

Well and the best songs of Laibach (in my opinion Wirtschaft ist tot, Geburt einer Nation, Das Spiel ist aus) are so heavily inspired from German cultur, that you can't blame a German band using things like this.-Laibach is a band very much covering: This song and many others. Even their "anthem porject" is a kind of coverign national anthems. The Vokswagner stuff again inspired by German cultur. So-Laibach fans should be cautious to blame other band a copy only because their are same parallels.

I disagree. For example the "softer" songs of Rammstein has nothing to do with Laibach. Seemann, Frühling in Paris or Ohne Dich for example. By the way the Ohne Dich cover of Laibach is far more "childish" than the Rammstein song. And - at least in Germany Rammstein has many fans in their 30s or 40s. The "teenager" argument doesn't fit, because I bet Laibach has also many teenager fans.
