a similar ending was intended to be on the walker texas ranger dvd but when chuck norris heard of it, the movie scenes got afraid of chuck and deleted themselves

No shit. If you look at the "cutscenes" from the MSX2-game "metal gear 2: solid snake" you can clearly see Campbell is based of Trautman.
