It is one of my favourite rallies. Such a challenge for driver&mashine, beautiful landscape and awesome athmosphere. I hope that Kenia will be as soon as possible part of wrc calendar again!

Safari might come back in 2013. The FIA has been interested in bringing it back. It would be more like the IRC Safari event though. No plans to make it like the traditional event. The Kenyan government supports it and they hope to get extra sponsors as well. The FIA will observe the Rally in 2010 and 2011 to see if it's viable. Then in 2012 they'll place their bid and maybe then it will be on the 2013 WRC calendar.

Wow! What memories this brings back of the Safari back home in the day. Irreplaceable. The Stratos, the 205's, the Audi's, the celica's - all amazing. And Mikola, Salonen, Kankunen, Mouton, Vatanen .... the list goes on.

3.24 shot,like a frog leaping from the mud...verygood video but could be better if some of 1987 winner footage included which is audi 200 quattro.
