Hey Keni thanks for the video. Any Idea when Republic will be offering tricone guitars other than the reso-relic finish?

Hi Kenny. Thanks for your video. I do plan on ordering a resonator guitar from Frank at Republic, thanks to you. I'm looking at the Highway 61 because of that cutaway. The action on my Tele is 1/5 inch from the12th fret because I don't really fret. Should I do the same on my HWY61? Also, how hard is it to adapt to the short scale? Finally, is there a big tone difference between steel and brass bodies? Thanks for your devotion to, and sharing your expertise about, bottleneck slide! E.K.

@ekoconnell Frank will sent up your Republic guitar anyway you like prior to shipping. I personally play a combination of fretting and sliding. The frets are closer together due to the shorter scale. I play both full size and parlor size guitars and had never had a problem playing between the two. I personally like the sharp crisp sound of steel and the slightly higher end. Brass being a softer metal has a warmer balanced tone between the bass and treble. Thank you for your questions. Enjoy.

hi, I'm gonna buy my first resonator, I'm from Italy and I found a little factory in the uk called Busker.I listened to their guitars in internet and I think they sound good. Also the're so cheap!! Did you know or play some of them? what do you think about? thanks

@lukather1234 Thank you for your question. Although I have never played a Busker guitar, I have heard good things about them. Especially, Michael Messer's model. I believe Busker guitars are manufactured in the same factory in China as Republic guitars. Considering you are in Europe, obtaining one would be more cost effective than importing a Republic guitar. Sounds like a safe bet to me. Enjoy.

What do you think about Epiphone resonators. I saw one for about $500.

And what about fender resonators. I saw one of those for about $800, but it also had a pickup.

I've had the chance to play both of them in the store and I'm looking to get one soon

@itwilltakesolongtofi Thank you for your question I have played both of these guitars. They are both good entry level instruments, but I think you will get a better quality instrument for your money if you go with Republic. Unfortunately, you will not have the opportunity to play one before buying or you may be overseas and the shipping may be too expensive. Buying from a local store also ensures the ability to bring it back if troubles arise. I guess it comes down to weighing your options
