Using the Wii Remote an IR LED for a clickable cockpit in DCS's Black Shark simulator.
The light you see from the LED is not visable to the naked eye. Cameras are able to pick up the IR light, your eyeballs cannot.
Very awsome, very accurate, very bad video quality....oh well.

Where did you placed the camera? How are the leds set up on the glove or if you are using a IR LED array where did you put it and how does your wiimote don't confuse your hands with the led or reflective tapes from Track IR?
I'm trying to build one up but am struggling to get the wiimote picking up okay. By the time I have moved the wiimote far enough back from the screen that it can 'see' all of it (only a 24") The LED is not bright enough. I even bend the LED back on itself so it's pointing directly at the wiimote.
Do you use special ultra-bright IR LEDs? Would you have a part number?

Can you describe a bit more your setup please?

Thank you.

I don't know how far back your LED is, but my Wiimote had no problem at 4 feet. Make sure your shoulder or something else isn't blocking the LED.
