Where can I see that ev you say was developed by Hydro-Québec? Motor-In-Wheel technology is the next thing but no body has been able t do it in 4-wheel cars as far as I know.  Only in bikes and scooters. If you have any info on that I would very much like to see it. Thanks!

you are right. driving an electric car right now, would do more harm for nature than driving a tiny and efficient diesel car. but the point about buying an electric car is that you're helping to fund the research and develpment effort for cars that do not use fossil fuel because that's where we are headed eventually.

Thank you for agreeing with me, I don't know why people decided to thumb me down, as if I crashed their childhood dreams... But of course electric cars would be better in the future. As of now an electric car is not a car for everyone, for various reasons. I also would like to see government fund the research, rather than leaving electric car to the free market.

I'm aware of France using electricity mostly from nuclear plants, however radioactive waste is a big issue too. If you want to know why gasoline cars are more reliable, than electric cars I can PM you if you want.
