sometimes one who gets bitten by a vampire turns into a vampire, and sometimes one who gets bitten by a vampire dies. i guess it depends on which kind of venom the vampire has used in his/her fangs for that particular bite. i assume that the one who is about to get bitten has no choice in regard to the kind of venom that the vampire uses for that bite. i wonder whether a vampire has ever mistakenly used the wrong venom when biting.
Remember seeing this at the theater in about 4th grade. Scared the crap outta me, almost had to leave. The way he gets taken out at the end is classic, impaled on the cross with some of his guts hanging off. The sequel, Taste the Blood of Dracula picked up where this left off but not nearly as good or gory.
I saw this as a little kid working at the drive-in. the projectionist, another kid, offered me some slices of the film. Naturally I thought that was pretty cool and went back there. He squinted at me, poised to cut the film and asked me, "You want horny or scary?" Scary, I said. I was a purist. fun memories.
