I think the problem is that these are all songs in a range made for TOM WAITS, not for her. If you listen to her singing with Pete Yorn on the album they just did together, she sounds fantastic (to me, anyway). I think it's just because all of these songs are too low for her and make her sound manly and a little awkward.

This is truly awful. The backing music and arrangement is adequate enough, but she adds absolutely nothing valuable to yet another brilliant Tom Waits song. Spare me. Please, if you are watching this go watch every Waits performance on Youtube and discover what real music making is all about.

Find a way to this song with some changes to the melody and beat...and maybe he'll let you put it on an album

It's effing awesome.

I really really like the melody of this song...the intensity of the instruments is very good and I like the momentum. The voice, well, it's definitely not chiseled and pretty like the head it's coming from, but I'd much rather hear raw and imperfect w/ all the great instrumentation than a digitalized voice that sounds awful anyway and lil blonde girls prancing in tight clothes....boring, seen too much of it....so yea, all in all, this is good.

hey, she can sing. she reminds me a little bit of cher in earlier times (In "I got you babe" with sunny). Today we`ve got this barbie-voices, so its no surprise that the most people says "She cant sing!"
I like the album and this song makes me a little melodramatic...

she isnt great...buh its not bad? it jus lacks feeling...emphasis...variety.. .its jus really...not impressive =] no offence! like her acting ^^
