What i find interesting is that psychoanalysis doen't play an big role in psychotherapy today anymore while at the same time it's all around you in ads, political propaganda i.e. public relations. I mean you kinda still can feel that influence. But i'm sure modern PR uses all available (psychological) information they can get to manipulate peole...

Hmmm...so all the nationalism and patriotism fervor is sold to us, as well as the ideology of "the power of the people" (democracy) is not public relations? Yes, it is....mixed in with propoganda. Democracy is a facade and patriotism and nationalism is an arousal tool for war. The president is a puppet, as the elite rule the world. Yeah, public relations sell us on the bs.

Bernays taught the ignorant cattle to buy shares in an inflated stock market right before the stock market crash of 1929, which was inevitable due to the fact that the economy had become inflated with excess currency due to the demand of credit (free lunches) by the masses. The currency had become debased, so this was a brilliant scheme by Bernays and the bankers to immediately drain excess currency in circulation, but also collect the collateral of the sheeple at the same time. Simply amazing.

A couple books to unstone minds, maybe even pakalolo's: Toxic Sludge is Good For You and/or Trust Us We're Experts, both by John Stauber and Sheldon Rampton. Another is Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television by Gerry Mander. However particularly this last one might seem dated. But it's not. Such news as these carry is new until it's heard and heeded.

I remember seeing this when it was first shown on TV. Interesting how I've got more from it seeing it again at this long distance.
