Prozac helps stabilising the level of serotonine in the brain and should only be used for this purpose. A person who has suffered from a traumatic event and becomes depressed by this needs therapy, not pills. With that being said, Prozac is the best thing that has happened to me. It saved my life.

Hm I am taking Prozac cause of IBS and I feel normal. Who knows maybe I will go buy a gun and shoot myself. I have been taking it for about 3 weeks now and I feel pretty much the same. The only thing I have noticed is i get dizzy from it.

no they are not neither is the severity of their side effects and truth be told the majority of ppl don't need those medications, only the most severe cases should be considered for medication

Yes, there should have been black box warnings on these medications. But you are condemning ALL of them. There are many people who have been helped by Prozac. Here is my question to the alleged victims, who blame Prozac for the suicidal ideation. Why were they given Prozac in the first place?
