cables usually break at the end so i woulda taken the end of the cable and wrapped it around the outside of the twist grip and took it easy to get home.With my thumb over the kill switch, just in case ; )

thanks for the tip, i knew it had broke straight away but im not in any way a bike mechanic. I went to the garage and cos it has twin cables i got both replaced. so when i got back the guy told me the other one was on the verge of going aswell :P
