The interest this advert caused, let to The New Avengers,the French wanted Linda Thorson to be in it but the production team of The New Avengers brought in a new lady Avenger, Purdey(Joanna Lumley)and Gareth Hunt as Mike Gambit to join Steed(Patrick Macnee)
