the film doesnt necessarily infer that he is merely human. it leaves it very open for interpretation. this is why you cant agree on a true meaning because its a very clever ending that can mean two things. either he was just human, or he was an alien.

Gene Brewer, the little bastard who wrote the screenplay for the movie had a lot of troubles cus he was acused of plagarism.

I think it was a remake (like Vainilla Sky - Abre los ojos) but in fact it was ripped off!!

Prot went back to K-Pax. This movie infers he was actually just human and crazy. In the book he is actually an alien from K-Pax.

Tell me, Lordvanderbelt, because Im curious. If this movie "infers" he was actually just human and crazy, how is it the women at the end of the film disappears simultaneously as Prot does? How is it in the film Prot is able to not only locate his own planet, but able to give them accurate information about its orbital configuration? How is it Prot one day disappears from the institute and two weeks later hes back? Don't tell me he was hiding under the desk the whole time..

The ending infered it. His body was there in a comatose state.

Did they use the soundtrack from Apollo 13 in this trailer?

Never the less, It's a great movie!
