Dude, you have no clue how a record company operates. After Images and Words and Awake, DT signed with Roadrunner (a musician has to eat and take what little job security he has, after all), and Roadrunner became notorious partly due to DT of putting a lid on what the band wants to do and instead coercing them to play music preferred by their sponsors and target audience. It's disgusting, and it's one reason pop music today sucks.
