Eric Quequet (a former member of the Presidential security staff) and Robert Paturel (a member of the French Swat as a full-time member and instructor) share the same ground experience, the same expertise in fighting sports but also the same experience of quality teaching in various styles.
This second volume filmed on location and with plain clothes deals with defense against weapons.

Yeah... we'll join in. Right techniques... defend then get away from danger. However, we're a little bummed for the car! :) Hope you didn't dent it too badly! Good video!!
This is savate isnt it? It was developed for self defense when guns and other weapons were outlawed to carry around, its currently used by the police in France people say its a sissy art .........they have never had there asses kicked by a Savate Expert oh by the way DAN INOSANTO TRAINS IN SAVATE
I'm not an expert, but this seems to be a crossover. There exist a special savate method used by the police and the army, that includes weapons like the cane, this is the "old school" from 19th century, oriented towards street self defense against thugs. This method of the video seems to be more modern, includes psicological training ("attitude and reflexes"). Modern sport savate is not sissy, but in the late 80's Richard Sylla changed the style to a harder one :) Bye!
Inosanto is a genius. I envy him! :) he is in his sixties and he's still fast as a cat! The low kick to the knee developed by bruce lee and trained by Inosanto is very much alike the knee kick used very often by savateurs, I have no doubt he has trained savate, because he is like a scientist, he tries and put things to test. Also, one of the founders of modern savate, Charlemont I think, used the stance of fencers to react faster, Lee used the same concept. Amazing!
