No it was actually written after Luton and recorded during the "Frenzy" album sessions. "True Colours" and "Waiata"/"Corroboree" are also unrelated to Luton.
Fabio: Well said! And, quite true...This song was part of the ENZ's "Rootin Tootin" sessions--which also comprised True Colours and Waiata (Corroboree in NZ & Aus) albums.
"Give it a Whirl" like several songs from "Frenzy" were remixed at least two times. The version of this video is the original from the 1979 album. The UK/USA version of the album published in 1982 included new mixes and different track list ...and then again in the 2005 remaster all Frenzy songs were remixed... I grew with the '82 version, so far only available on vinyl from that era.
