I agree that Richard Bishop is beyond Devendra Banhart in technical skill but their styles mix well. Not to mention he is a musician, it's not like all musicians are as pretensions has you seem to think they should be, he probably was happy just to play with someone especially if it's one of his friends.

I don't see how "their styles mix well" in this particular session...the intro was a bit interesting, but as soon as Devendra breaks off into that self-indulgent wankery, the whole thing goes to shit. Just my opinion.

Nothing in this is special, I meant if you listen to their styles, they are not the same but I can see how they could be interested enough in each other to do something like this. You apparently seem to be from the view of something like this, Bishop is god and Banhart is a smudge on the bottom of god's shoe. Clearly. Just my opinion.
