Rauno won the Monte Carlo rally outright in 1967 with co-driver Henry Liddon. He was a pioneer of new driving techniques for rallying Minis and was the last of the Works drivers to win the Monte Carlo outright in a Mini.

The interviewer is a complete wanker, does he NOT know anything? Rauno speaks complete sense, if you don't understand these logics then you shouldn't be behind the wheel, and why does the interviewer keep saying OKAY, you don't diss Rauno fool!
Absolutely inspiring -apart from PBs comment showing a surprising lack of knowledge in vehicular dynamics around four minutes in. I found that quite surprising considering this pleasant chap competes in 977ARX... ever wondered why John Rhodes drove as hard and fast as he did into bends before nailing the throttle? :-) Either way thanks for the great interview with the elusive Rauno, he clearly knows exactly how to drive.
This is absolutely brilliant! Such a fantastic look at rallying dynamics, and in so many more ways than most people think of! Thanks for the vid and interview! -Cody Chimaera-Dreamliner Photography
