It's not the "clutch pedal" that he's depressing...it's the PARKING BRAKE PEDAL. He uses both the parking brake and regular brake pedal to perform power slides. As you state, the car has an automatic tranny, thus no clutch pedal. The e38 uses a pedal for the parking brake instead of a hand brake lever used in earlier generations of 7 series.

But decent film. Though I don't understand why he has a clutch pedal when he breaks considering the car is automatic.
