Did you know pig and poultry meats often carry MRSA and VRE due to antibiotic abuse (daily administration) to keep them alive in pure filth. Just handling the raw meat you can easy get infected through any microcrack in skin or rub your nose. Swine and bird Flu ALSO was directly caused by farm factory cruelty. Call it Lord Karma: The eaters of flesh shall become the eaten.

ishmahin, why are you willing to spread the consciousness of this particular issue, yet fail to grasp the corruption going on within our own religion's organization? Abortions are being forced on women in the Sea Org. Families are being broken up by Disconnection. Members are being drained out of their life savings, at the promise of "eternity". Critics' free speech is being suppressed, and critics themselves harassed.

PLEASE read xenu(.)net, ishmahin.

Can someone please tell me why people have to point out other issues that exist, hoping to minimize the Factory Farming issue?? It's no basis for an arguement. THIS is an issue. Everything you listed are terrible issues, too, OpenComments! But that does not make this any less horrific than it is! Comments like yours are so very annoying.

rla0323, it wasn't my intention to minimize the Factory Farming issue. Sorry you interpreted it that way. My intention was inquiring about ishmahin's hypocrisy, as I tell him about how abusive the Church of Scientology is. My apologies that I didn't clarify.

Thank you for clarifying, OpenComments. And I'm happy to know that you agree Factory Farming is a serious problem. It's horrible for the animals, our environment, and our personal health. People don't always get that readily and tend to attack those who do, suggesting other things are more important. The reality is, we have a lot of things to tackle in this world.

Yup. You have your fight, I have mine. That there are worse problems in the world isn't an excuse to ignore "smaller" problems, ever. You can always find a "bigger" problem, and solving smaller problems still makes world a better place, and it doesn't "add" to bigger problems.

The problem with people who say "Why not protest X instead of Y" is that it can be said for ANY problem in the world. We all pick our battles, people have to understand. I won't rest until Scientology's abuses r exposed.

I don't know enough about Scientology to comment but I can assure you Factory Farming is no "small issue". We are all affected by this kind of greed. And if someone can watch the cruelty behind this video and not care? They are unreachable on any level.

Understood.. hence why "smaller' is put in quotes ... as it is smaller by only the perception of the individual who suggested it. I too do not know enough about factory farming to comment, but I hope that the argument I gave in my previous comment applies to us both - that there are worse problems in the world isn't an excuse to ignore "smaller" problems ("smaller" being the subjective term).
