This is a great song...way before country hits became little more than just marketing bullshit..like Hot Country Billboard has been for the past 10 years at least...it's now more watered down and religious than southern gospel ever was, and blander than oatmeal served on a dry brown leaf in the fall. This is the real deal.

Im not quite into that much rap myself. But dont be closed minded about it. It is definitely music. It deals with poetry with a harmonic instrument backround. Its just like all other mainstream genres that have been bought out by the music corp.

I remember listening to him on the radio in the early 50s. He had a lot of impact. He remains the best. Pure real country.

Restore Hank Sr to the Country Music Hall of Fame!!

Like many 30 somethings the music of Hank Williams found it's way to me via the uber violent crime epic Grand Theft Auto video game franchise. There is a country station in the game and this song is used. This modest tune about courtship was so disarming and genuine that it really made me stop and take notice. I hate "what the kids are listening to" just as much as you, but they are checking out the stuff from decades past.
