How on Earth does he do the vibrato thing at the end ? Pressing down on the strings between the tailpiece and bridge maybe ? Weird !

Worked it out. You play a 12th fret slide and strike hard and then mute with your right hand and release. The strings automatically ring back out and resonate creating a volume swell effect. The trick is getting the slide right on the exact point where bridge and nut side are equal in pitch. Hard to do first off but then it's easy. It wont work anywhere else on the neck that I've found so far. Cool trick ! Thanks Sonny great playing as always.

It works on almost any odd fret number above 12. 17 and 19 especially.
