Here in sunny South Africa, this brotherly duo has always had a huge following. This song used to be aired a lot on radio. Until the idiot brigade had a say about the choice of music to be played over radio.

Not absolutely sure but looks to me like an early 1970's vintage Fender 8 string pedal steel.
