The M1 did launch with (partial) dorchester armour but the challenger2 is armoured 3rd gen' through-out, the Leo2 is also armoured with 3rd Gen through-out but uses a slightly different (lighter) design, which only time will tell weather or not it is an improvement on dorchester armour, however "I think" the Leo2 has the greatest range of all the MBT's which could be what makes it the best tank out-right.

Top tank, Top gun!
Is there a version with a little more shield, i wouldn't want my head stuck out of all that nice 3rd gen armour without a matted bullet-proof semi-curcular glass sheild. (matted to kill glare and reflection) I know its weight no millitary would waste but the manufactuer maybie?

excluding motor by German engineers , because the engine design (patent) was done by a Turkish engineer.
