I really think that Jason wasn't the popular guy and he tried to have a relationship with a girl that didn't really appreciate him. They probably had a relationship, he fell in love, and she dumped him. Just my humble opinion.

Alright, look, maybe I was being mean...if so...I'm sorry. I love this song. To me..he's singing about someone who really has a hold on him. Really had an effect. He even says why ..after all of this am I still writing a song about this person...in his own words. Can I ask you...what do you get out of it? I promise, I wasn't trying to be mean.

Here's what I think: I'm not sure she ever really gave him a chance. I think he's more impressed with her than she was with him, just by the way he describes her. And he's trying to convince himself that he doesn't miss her But hey....I don't know Jason Mraz. I think you should use it in your movie if you had that instinct. People are going to get different things out of it anyway just like us. It's a great song for a movie. What's your movie about?

Is it about that she left him yet he stillis love her or that he broke up with her because he felt it was better for her?
