Everyone comes from some place. The Normans were true Scandinavians, they would not have bothered to spread the French language into England. They would not have bothered to start a dynasty of French-speaking English kings.

yea but they both seem so boring imo. the only interesting parts are beer in germany and, to some extent, food in france. it doesn't help that I don't like how the languages sound lol

Oh yeah, France never won a war. The closest they ever were was when they conquered England in one battle.  Oops, guess it doesn't count since they conquered England so quickly, does it?

y not Germany, France i can see, but Germany is actually interesting. the only interesting thing about France is that the only war they ever won was the French Revolution, and that's because they were fighting themselves.
