I just watched the Italian DVD of this opera, and it is AWFUL!! Save your pennies folks, and treasure this wonderful Belgian interpretation! Sandra Rumolino' s husky voice is just right for Maria, and the visuals are wonderfully provocative! I hope they release this on CD some day.

Su gran formación musical le permitió innovar y hasta adentrarse en la Ópera.

Too bad we can't hear horacio's poem in the begining... It's great and it really kicks you to the mood to watch this...

I saw this in my country (portugal), in Oporto...And i sincerely think it had a better production than this one..However, i like it too, and it's always a pleasure to be able to ear this masterpiece again...

You are right...And it's not only buenos aires... Oporto also has the "porteño's" feeling...

You've got tango, and we have fado... Unlucky we didn't have geniouses like piazzolla and horacio working on our traditions...

I envy you for having such two great artists... Congratulations...
